Videos for Third-Party Benefit Administrator
Overview
This business needed a customer-focused way to introduce their plans to their plan members. They knew customers have short attention spans, and may not be engaged with a flyer, so they wanted to go with a video.
In both cases, the client opt’d to use a voice of their own team members, but I did conduct the story boarding, voice recording, and actual animation in After Effects.
In 2019, I made this video for them on a tighter budget:
In 2021, I was given a wider leeway for creativity, and produced this video (designer’s cut):
In this version, I enjoyed having the plus sign double as a medical icon, and I linked the different scenes together by moving the plus sign through the different scenes.
Below is a scan of my final storyboard. As you can see, sketching the storyboard by hand helps to solve animation and creativity challenges faster, and allows for an easy plan to be followed once you hit the computer.
