Health Portal Administrator Pages
Overview
The Administrator portal was designed many years ago. It no longer met modern needs. It needed to meet WCAG 2.1 AA, and many interfaces needed to be re-thought to be more intuitive to non-programmer users.
Things I worked on were
- to make this use responsive design,
- using icons, colours, and labels to communicate to users – only an icon can confuse some users as to the icon’s meaning. Only a colour might not communicate to someone with colour blindness, or to someone where a colour means something different to them. Only a label forces the user to read, when sometimes an icon can communicate faster.
- Added more instructions, as to not assume the user will know what to do.
- Added more hierarchy to all elements.
It makes more sense to follow the steps from the XD link, but for convenience, below are some screenshots of some screens of interest.
